1.Graduation requirement: 135 credit hours 2.Required general education courses : 33 credit hours; Major Required courses : 79 credit hours; Major Selective courses: 23 credit hours 3.Inter-departmental courses cannot exceed 15 credit hours. (For interdisciplinary study, major elective credits are at least 2 credits for inter-departmental course taking, 6 credits for inter-collegiate course taking before graduation.The same course cannot be taken twice no matter which department held by.) 4.All undergraduate students are required to reach the minimum level of English proficiency or above as one of the necessary requirements for graduation. For more details on the relevant standards of English proficiency, please consult with the website of the Office of Academic Affairs, National Taipei University of Technology. 5.The Physical Education course (elective) completed in the senior year shall not be taken for Major Selective courses. 6.A student should take 18 or more credits of general education curriculum, including「Introductory Biology」 course of「自然科學與邏輯推理」dimension. 7.5 core curriculum of Liberal Arts Education curriculum:Aesthetics & Arts, History & Culture, Democracy, Society & Philosophy, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship. 8.A student should take 23 or more credits of Major Selective curriculum including「Industrial Safety and Hygiene」、「Physics」(Semesters : 2 / 2)and 「Physics Lab.」(Semesters : 2 / 2) course. 9.Teaching of Technical Fundamentals - Fundamental Experiment Classes including: Chemistry Lab.(2), Physics Lab.(2), Organic Chemistry Lab.(1), Physical Chemistry Lab. (2), Unit Operations Lab.(2), Process Control Lab.(1), total courses counts =10 10.A student for a bachelor degree shall complete the minimum number 6 of Teaching of Technical Fundamentals-Fundamental Experiment Classes required for graduation specified by Chemical Engineering Department. 11.The Semester Practical Training (elective) completed in the senior year shall be taken for waiver of Internship course in summer, but students shall satisfactorily complete the minimum number of credits required for graduation specified by the respective Departments. 12.A student should take at least one of 4 required selective core courses including : 1). Unit Operations and Transport Phenomena (IV), 2). Biochemical Engineering, 3). Polymer Properties and Processings, 4). Environmental Engineering. 13.Students from foreign countries, Hong Kong, and Macao, whose graduating schools are comparable in level and nature to Taiwan’s senior high schools and whose graduating year is equivalent to the 2nd grade of Taiwan’s senior high schools, are considered as having a level of education adequate for registering for the entrance examination for the various 4-year bachelor programs in Taiwan’s universities. Suchlike undergraduate students, when admitted to National Taipei University of Technology’s Bachelor programs, are required to earn extra 12 credit units from the elective courses defined in their respective departments’ curriculum tables. 14.This Guide is applicable to freshmen who are admitted in Academic Year 2019. |
