| Biomaterials is an introductory course designed for medical devices, artificial organs, tissue engineering and drug controlled release. Orthopaedic deveics, artificial joints, biochips, and modifications of materials surfaces are covered in the category of medical devices. Artificial cartilage, skin, liver al. etc. are introduced in the artificial organ field. In tissue engineering, scaffold materials, biodegradable materials and bio-reactor design are discussed. Polymeric membranes and targeting drug delivery are focused when the drug controlled release are discussed.
