| Environmental science is the application of knowledge from many disciplines to the study and management of the environment. It is an examination of the conditions, circumstances, and influences that affect all life and how life in turn responds. The purpose of this course is to create an understanding of (1) all facets of the environment that achect ecosystems and human life, (2) the impacts of human activity on various aspects of environmental quality ; and (3) the environmental, econnmic, and cultural factors that shape urban development.
