Note :
1.Graduation requirement: 39 credit hours.
2.The doctoral program is divided into two groups, the Chemical Engineering and Biochemical and Biomedical Engineering, at the time of admission.
3.A candidate must complete 18 credit hours of course marked with ▲ including 2 credit hours in Technical English Writing, 12 credit hours in Thesis, 4 credit hours in Seminar.( At least 2 credit hours of seminar must be completed according to admission group division.) At least 4 semesters of Seminars must be completed.
4.A candidate must complete 21 or more credit hours of Major Selective courses and may take unlimited courses offered by College of Engineering, College of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. (The candidate should take at least 6 credit hours of Major Selective courses in Ph.D program offered by Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology.) Subject to the chairman and advisor's consent, the candidate may take 3 credit hours of Major Selective courses in Ph.D program offered by College of Management, College of Design or College of Humanities and social sciences.
5.A candidate can take 3 or 6 credit hours in Thesis every semester.
6.Each graduate student shall pass the minimum English proficiency requirement(s) for graduation, and shall all meet the criteria of the English proficiency tests set by the department (if any). Students may refer to the department websites for their English proficiency criteria set by each department.
7.This Guide is applicable to freshmen who are admitted in Academic Year 2020.
