||First of all, the role of microorganism in the fermentation is introduced in this course. In the course, the most important categories for the properties of the cells, such as the environmental factors to be controlled, dynamic characteristics of enzyme, should be delineated. Particularly, the course would eonphasize the most part of chemical engineering, such as the reactor (fermenter) design and operation. Then, the fundamental knowledge and technique of purification of bioproduct will be introduced. In the recent years, many new products are produced by the method of fermentation. Therefore the related technology will be presented in this course.
