| This course will focus on introducing the testing techniques and processes for the applications in biomedical engineering field. The purpose is to illustrate the concepts and to establish the relationship between engineering techniques and medical applications. The topics of this course consists of (1) Classifications of biomedical engineering applications; (2) Integration of engineering and medical technologies; (3) Development and testing processes for medical products; (4) Regulation of medical devices; (5) Experimental designs; (6) Standard testing and certified testing procedures; (7) Pre-clinical testing; (8) Clinical testing system.
