課程大綱 This course aims to develop students' English language skills and communicative competence for effective communication. Centered around the fields of science, technology and engineering, the materials and activities in the course are designed to prepare students to understand and discuss the topics of the fields.

課程進度 Tentative course schedule: Week 1: Course introduction Week 2: Unit 7 (EV) Week 3: Unit 7 Week 4: Unit 8 (Clean energy) Week 5: Unit 8 Week 6: Unit 9 (DNA testing) + quiz 1 Week 7: Public holiday Week 8: Mid-term assessment Week 9: Mid-term assessment + campus-wide English exam Week 10: Unit 6 (Bioprinting) Week 11: Describing graphs and charts Week 12: Describing graphs and charts Week 13: Unit 6 (3D printing) Week 14: History and technology Week 15: History and technology Week 16: Final exam (in-class) Week 17: Final assessment (Online meeting) Week 18: Final assessment (Online meeting)

評量方式與標準 Attendance and class participation: 20% Campus-wide English exam: 20% In-class quizzes / assignments: 10% Mid-term assessments: 20% Final assessment: 30%
