課程大綱	本課程將做為大一學生入學後第一門程式語言奠基課程，作為程式設計的基礎。教授內容包括電腦運作概念、程式設計原則、分支敘述、迴圈敘述、輸出、輸入敘述、陣列處理、字元處理、及子程式等課題。
課程進度	Week 1: Introduction to Computers and Programming. Assignment: Week 2: Typing / Spreadsheet formula, matrix multiplication and inversion Week 3: Spreadsheet formula: min, round, sqrt, if, countif, match, index and VBA basics Week 4: Variables and mathematical formula Week 5: Branching Statements Week 6: Loop Week 7: Array / Vector / Matrix Week 8: Review and activities Week 9: Midterm Week 10: Programming on mathematical formula (I) Week 11: Programming on mathematical formula (II) Week 12: Programming on Branching and Loop (I) Week 13: Programming on Branching and Loop (II) Week 14: Programming on Branching and Loop (III) Week 15: Programming on Functions and Subroutines (I) Week 16: Programming on Functions and Subroutines (II) Week 17: Review and activities Week 18: Final exam.
評量方式與標準	Assignments and Activities: 25% +/- 5% Midterm: 25% +/- 5% Final exam: 50% +/- 10%
