課程大綱 To provide public service with better quality, the administration of government with information-based is widely established by adopting newly developed information technology. Geographic Information System is one of the technology especially applicable when massive maps and attribute data are involved in management affairs. It offers users a solution for information management and data query under a graphic environment with Chinese interface as well as output printing specification. The planning and design of major construction projects in Taiwan were increasingly referred to GIS for the reason that efficiency can be maximized by the powerful data organization, integration, and display capability along with GIS.

課程進度 The following schedule is tentative. Week 1-2 Introductions Week 3 Thematic maps, map digitization, attribute tables Week 4: Join and relate Week 5: Classification Week 6: Vector and raster Week 7: DEM Week 8: Model builder Week 9-14: Python Week 15-16: Presentations

評量方式與標準 Following percentages are tentative. 10% Submission of project outline on time 15% Literature review 30% Final oral report 25% Written report 20% Attendance
