課程大綱	This course aims to build up the financial framework for students when making financial decisions. It will focus on learning the fundamentals of financial management and applying for main decisions making while facing every day by the financial managers. It helps students to understand various tools of financial management and use them effectively when making investment and financing decisions. Course Goals and Learning Objectives: 1. Gaining financial experience/framework for students. 2. Understanding basic principles of financial management. 3. Applying knowledge to the Management Business Simulation. 4. Roleplay as a CEO/CFO, students will apply various tools for financial management decisions. By using an integrated Management Business simulation game as a major learning tool to illustrate how strategic and operational/financial decisions should be made in a competitive dynamic environment. So they will experience integrating and aligning key decision factors in different business scenarios. Simultaneously to achieve a set of defined performance objectives of a company by evaluating decision alternatives and tradeoffs for optimizing the resource utilization.
課程進度	Week 07 Learning MBS – Model 1-2 Game Group presentation on planning and execution strategy (the two lowest-ranked teams in competition game: Round 2) Group breakout session for competition game: Round 3 and 4 Discussion and analysis of results Submit decisions for competition game: Round 5 (W) Return on Investment and Financial Risk Week 08 Learning MBS – Model 4 Game Group presentation on planning and execution strategy (selected teams) Group breakout session for the competition game Discussion and analysis of results. Submit decisions for competition game: Round 8 (W) Week 09 Return on Investment and Financial Risk Week 10 Group presentation + Lecturing Week 11 Learning on Dividends and Valuing the Stock Price Studying TSMC for Stock Price Setting, 4 debates Week 12 Reflections Working on MBS – Model 4 Game: Discussion and analysis of execution strategy and Group breakout session. Week 13 Reflections: Working Capitals and the Cost of Capitals Week 14 Reflections: Group 2 + 4 Group presentation on Model 4 – 10 mins for each group. The competition Winner will get NT500 from Prof. Yang Working Capitals and the Cost of Capitals Week 15 Optimal Portfolio Choice and the Capital Asset Pricing Model Week 16 Reflections. 評量方式與標準	Grades: The final course grades will be determined by the following criteria and point distribution. Group game planning and review/analysis 20 % Group competition games 20 % Participation (10-12 lucky draw) 30 % (each class 3 points) Final exam and peer evaluation 30 % Total 100 % *PS: Extra Bonus for servicing as a Class leader: 3 to 5 points add on to final score Group leaders: 1 to 3 points add on to final score
