課程大綱	This course will teach the use of English in the field of economics and discuss such ideas as world economies, free trade and capitalism through the reading of relevant contemporary literature. In addition, the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will be introduced. All areas of English proficiency (listening, speaking, writing, reading) in the context of economics and business will be considered.

評量方式與標準	Attendance policy: Eight or more absences from Week 2 onwards will result in a grade of 0% for the course. Assessment: Group presentation (speaking) 20% School Mid-term 20% Writing test* 10% Final exam* (reading and listening) 40% Attendance and participation 10% * At the lecturer’s sole discretion, a make-up Writing Test or Final Exam may be granted upon presentation of a valid proof of illness (medical certificate or record of hospitalization) within 10 days of the date of absence.
