課程大綱 This semester shifts focus from static textbook scenarios to the rapidly evolving world of Artificial Intelligence. Each week, we will analyze current events, news articles, and authentic media (podcasts/videos) related to how AI is reshaping society, ethics, and the field of Computer Science. Students will develop advanced English skills through debate, critical summary, and technical communication.

(1-16週) Syllabus Flexibility Please note that this syllabus serves as a guide. Topics may change based on breaking news in the tech world or the learning progress of the class. Course Schedule (Tentative) Week 1 (Feb 26 & 27): Course Introduction & The State of AI Note: No class on Friday, Feb 27 (Peace Memorial Day Holiday). Week 2 (Mar 5 & 6): Generative AI Mechanics (How LLMs Work) Week 3 (Mar 12 & 13): AI in Education & Academic Integrity Week 4 (Mar 19 & 20): Ethics of AI (Bias and Hallucinations) Week 5 (Mar 26 & 27): Deepfakes & Media Literacy Week 6 (Apr 2 & 3): AI Legal Issues (Copyright & Data Privacy) Note: No class on Friday, Apr 3 (Children's Day / Tomb Sweeping Day Holiday). Week 7 (Apr 9 & 10): AI Coding Assistants & GEPT Writing Prep Topic: Copilot & Junior Developers Activity: Introduction to GEPT Writing structure and practice prompts. Week 8 (Apr 16 & 17): The Future of Creativity & GEPT Speaking Prep Topic: AI Art & Music Activity: GEPT Speaking practice Week 9 (Apr 23 & 24): Midterm Week / Assessment Period Possible GEPT Test Window (Date TBD). Week 10 (Apr 30 & May 1): AI in Healthcare & Medicine Note: No class on Friday, May 1 (Labor Day Holiday). Possible GEPT Test Window (Date TBD). Week 11 (May 7 & 8): Green AI (Energy Consumption & Sustainability) Possible GEPT Test Window (Date TBD). IMPORTANT NOTE Regarding Weeks 9–11: The GEPT Speaking & Writing Test will take place during class time in one of these weeks (official date to be announced). Duration: ~60 minutes (2 consecutive periods). Week 12 (May 14 & 15): Emotional AI & Human-Computer Interaction Week 13 (May 21 & 22): Cybersecurity (Prompt Injection & Safety) Week 14 (May 28 & 29): Final Project Launch (The AI Startup) Week 15 (Jun 4 & 5): Business Communication & Pitching Strategies Week 16 (Jun 11 & 12): Project Workshop & Rehearsals Week 17 (Jun 18 & 19): The Future of Work & Career Planning Note: No class on Friday, Jun 19 (Dragon Boat Festival Holiday).
