課程大綱金屬工藝應用是一門以實作應用為主，概念講述為輔的金工課程，透過實際工藝技術進行教學，提供學生具基礎金工器物的製作能力，進而設計應用於生活物件，引導學生具系統性設計及製作能力，轉化概念成實技製作的專業，希望學生藉完成金屬工藝作品，將生活經驗中的價值與意涵融入，創造出屬於個人風格之設計。『本課程配合USR計畫』 The course ?Metalwork and Design? focuses mainly on practical application, while employing concepts thereof supplementary. The class is taught through demonstration and actual execution of arts and crafts techniques, thus providing students with the basic skills for utensil manufacturing. Followed by designing applicable day-to-day objects, the ultimate goal is to equip students with systematic designing and manufacturing aptitude, hence transmuting concepts into solid expertise. What we desire to achieve is that the students' completed work of art will be a blend of personal significance and practical value derived from everyday experiences.
