課程大綱
This course introduces students to probability, random variables and fundamental statistics. Topics include fundamental probability theory, random variables, distribution functions, Bernoulli, binomial, negative binomial, geometric, hypergeometric, and Poisson distributions. The other continuous topics covered are uniform, exponential, normal, gamma and beta distributions; joint distributions; properties of expectation, central limit theorem, Chebyshev inequality, and law of large numbers; fundamental statistics.
