課程大綱	本課程著重教導學生閱讀文章，並藉由文章訓練學生閱讀理解、字彙建構、以及語言解析能力。教材著重於科學、科技以及工程方面的文章，並藉由課堂延展活動增進學生於科學、科技以及工程領域的英語能力。 The course provides students with explicit, skill-based instruction in learning how to process and decipher the readings that serve as springboards for reading skill development, vocabulary building, and language analysis. Selected readings will be centered around science, technology, and engineering. Extension activities are designed to improve students’ technical English skills to be used in the fields of science, technology, and engineering.

評量方式與標準	Percentile of Fnal Grades(成績配分): 1. Midterm Exam: 20% 2. Group Presentation in the Class or Individual Final Exam or Report: 20 % 3. Attendance:20% (Note: Five Absences Leading to Failure) 4. Individual Tasks (Homework, Solo Presentation, or Assignment), and Participation in the Classroom Discussions: 20 % 5. English Benchmark Exam (英文大會考): 20% 6. 本學期113-2培力英檢完成報名及參加考試者於以額外期末總成績驚喜加分-113-2報名日期:2/17-3/7；測驗日期:1.說寫4/26(第10周之星期六) 2.聽讀5/24(第14周之星期六)，請同學務必報名參加考試。 備註:本課程十八周之教學內容、進度、方法及成績評量方式等，除了校定不可更改之內容外，均為預期計畫。實際之教學內容、進度、方法及成績評量方式等，會依教師實際授課狀況及同學學習成效而定，教師保留彈性調整之權力。(Adjustments are made according to instructor's actual teaching schedule and students’ classroom performance and learning outcomes.)
