課程大綱 1. Students will be able to solve dynamic mass and energy balances for chemical processes. 2. Students will be able to understand of the unit operations with a focus on liquid-liquid and fluid solid separation processes, membrane separation processes, and mechanical-physical separation processes. 3. Students will be able to calculate and design the unit operations in multicomponent systems.

課程進度 1st week : Introduction conservation momentum, mass, and energy 2nd week: Liquid-liquid and fluid-solid separation processes (Ch. 12) 3rd week : Batch adsorption and design of fixed-bed adsorption columns 4th week : Ion-exchange processes and liquid-liquid extraction 5th week : Liquid-solid leaching and crystallization 6th week : Membrane separation process (Ch. 13) 7th week : Liquid and gas separation by membranes 8th week : RO membrane processes and short review for midterm exam 9th week : Midterm exam 10th week: Applications membrane processes 11th week: Mechanical-physical separation processes (Ch. 14) 12th week: Solid-liquid separation 13th week: Settling and sedimentation in particular-fluid separation 14th week: Centrifugal separation process 15th week: Mechanical size reduction 16th week: Review and problems exercise 17th week: Review and problems exercise 18th week: Final exam
