課程大綱 This course will detail the working principles and design philosophy of embedded systems and with prime focus on (1) Linux Kernel, (2) Cyber-Physical System, (3) Memory Architecture, (4) Security, (5) Scheduling. Please be noted that the knowledge of the Operating System, C language, and the use of basic Linux commands are required before taking this course. Also, this course will be taught in English and please consider this course as a good chance for you to perfect your English skills.

課程進度 Progress is subject to changes due to holidays or any other incidents. 1. Introduction (1 week) 2. Linux Kernel (2 weeks) 3. Cyber-Physical System (1 week) 4. Memory Architecture (2 weeks) 5. Virtual File System (2 weeks) 6. Midterm (1 week) 7. Input/Output (1 week) 8. Security (1 week) 9. Scheduling (1 week) 10. Booting (2 weeks) 11. Final (1 week) 12. Literature Survey Presentation (3 weeks)

評量方式與標準 1. Students are encouraged to discuss with each other. But if you intentionally commit plagiarism, you will probably fail the assignment or the course. 2. There will be a midterm exam, 5 project assignments, and a survey presentation as the final exam. 3. Midterm -> 30%, Assignments -> 30%, Survey presentation -> 40%.
