課程大綱	對無機化合物之結構，化學性質等，利用量子化學，群論及結晶化學等加以探討。以配合天然礦物之形成，產狀，地球化學及環 境化學等學科之授課內容。 The chemical structure and properties of inorganic compounds, which are useful for the following courses: the forming and occurrence of minerals, earth and environmental chemistry, will be discussed by using quantum chemistry, group theory and crystallography.
課程進度	week 1 - 7: chapter 1-3 (Atomic structure, molecular structure and bonding, the structures of simple solids) week 8 - 13: chapter 4-6 (Acids and bases, oxidation and reductions, molecular symmetry) week 14-17: chapter 7-9 (an introduction to coordinate chemistry, physical techniques in inorganic chemistry, periodic trends)
評量方式與標準	30% (midterm 1) + 30% (midterm 2) + 30% (final) + attendance
