課程大綱
This module draws on the concurrent course in Heat, Mass and Momentum Transfer, which gives the necessary foundations. The aim of this module is to deepen the students knowledge of the unit operations with a focus on distillation, absorption, adsorption and drying processes. This provides a foundation for the Chemical Engineering. The present lectures will extend the Momentum Transfer to Heat and Mass Transfer. We will explore efficient short cut methods and briefly introduce the principles behind.

1-4 weeks: Heat transfer by conduction 5-6 weeks: Heat Flow in Fluids 7-8 weeks: Heat Transfer to Fluid 9 week: Midterm Exam 10-12 weeks: Radiation Heat Transfer 12-14 weeks: Heat Exchanger 15-16 weeks: Mass Transfer 17 week: Final Exam 18 week: Discussion
