| 中文概述 Chinese Description | 本課程是動態影像發展史與理論的基礎課程，著重觀者經驗。什麼是動態影像呢？這包含電影、影集、串流媒體和其他諸多不同的音像裝置。基於動態影像的多樣形式，本課程將從歷史性的電影文本開始，討論動態影像的轉移過程，最後思考數位媒體既然成為一種新的藝術形式，動態影像又是如何從傳統電影戲院轉向不同的展示空間，如博物館、藝廊和線上網站等。最後，各式影像文本與實驗性影像都將在課堂播放與討論。 | |||
| 英文概述 English Description | This course will provide an introduction to the history and theory of moving images with a focus on the spectatorship. Moving images have a variety of art forms, such as film, video, streaming media and the other different kinds of audiovisual installations. This course attempts to begin with historical film contexts. Furthermore, the discussion moves to the changing paradigms of moving images, and ends with considering the digital media as a new art form which shifts the moving images from movie theater to the diverse exhibiting, such as museum, gallery and online sites. A variety of cinematic contexts from essays to the selected experimental moving images will be screened and discussed. | |||
