本課程以講述物理、化學及工程應用上,常見的數學。尤其是量子化學上,必須用到的數學為主。內容主要涵蓋三大部分。第一部分為特殊函數與傅立葉轉換,第二部分為基本線性代數,包含向量,矩陣,以及行列式及其在物理化學分子軌域的應用,第三部分則應用數值分析。

English Description
This course is mainly focus on the application with mathematics to solve physical chemistry and engineering problems, especially on quantum chemistry. It is divided into three parts. The first part is related to special function and Fourier analysis, including series solutions for differential equations, Hermite polynomials, Laguerre polynomials, Legendre polynomials, Bessel function, and Fourier transformation. The 2nd part is on the linear algebra, such as vector, matrix, determinants, eigenvalues, diagonalization, and its application on molecular orbitals. The last one is related to the numerical analysis which is including Boltzmann distribution, Gaussian distribution, and least square analysis.
