English Description 		This course includes following topics: ? Understand issues associated with a global engineering development environment including developing product needs in unfamiliar cultures, design for adaptability. ? Appreciate first-hand how successful global companies approach these issues. ? Understand design strategies related to concept selection, product architecture, economic modeling. ? Appreciate the challenges in managing technical development and product manufacturing across different countries, cultures and languages. ? Understand why outsourcing is such an important issue with US companies ? Gain a greater appreciation for other cultures involved in the business value chain ? Understand how globalization affects me as an engineer ? Understand the research, design, and manufacturing capabilities of other countries and how to leverage these capabilities in a cross cultural team environment ?
