Chinese Description 		能源在日常生活中以很多型態呈現，大量的能源使用於汽車動力、食物與用水加熱、產品製造、發電及其他不同事務。使用傳統能源會排放空氣污染物，因而引起鄰近地區、區域、跨國境空氣污染問題，甚至是全球的環境衝擊效應。本課程將檢視能源使用現況及其衍生的環境議題，並且探討能源使用之趨勢。傳統能源(如煤、石油、天然氣、核能等)、及再生能源(如太陽能、水力、風能、地熱能等)及能源效率等內容，都將於課程中介紹

English Description 		Energy enters our everyday lives in many ways. Prodigious amounts of energy are used to power automobiles, heat food and water, manufacture products, generate electricity, and perform various other tasks. The use of traditional energy will emit air pollutants that may result in regional air pollution problem as well as global effects. In this course we will look at the current energy situation, its environmental implications, and try to determine the patterns of energy use. We will look at energy use as coal, petroleum, natural gas, nuclear energy, and renewable energy, such as solar energy, hydroelectric
