| 英文概述 English Description | The overall objective of this course is to introduce the types, and functions, of geosynthetics and their engineering applications. Specifically, this course focuses on the soil reinforcement and provide students the fundamentals and tools needed for design, analysis, and performance evaluation of geosynthetic-reinforced soil (GRS) structures including both walls and slopes. Class also discusses construction, monitoring, maintenance, case histories as well as current state-of-art applications of GRS structures against various natural disasters. | |||
