Chinese Description 		本課程之目的在於教導學生思考科技對於社會、文化之間的交互作用。課程案例皆以科學技術和社會變遷作為出發點，導入科學哲學與社會學中的科技社會研究（science, technology and society, STS）之思考模式，令學生進行跨領域思索，甚至批判科技對於當代的各方面影響。本課程先以科學哲學與STS之基礎論述作為導論，輔以思想史之簡易說明，帶領學生依照人、事、時、地、物等方面切入不同個案，包含數位科技、全球化、氣候變遷或社會風險等。最後鼓勵其對世界未來走向提出自我之看法與想像。
英文概述
English Description 		The purpose of the course is to teach students the ability of thinking the interaction between technology, society and culture. The cases in this class are all based on the changing of technology and society, and we will make students think, even criticize the interdisciplinary topics of the influence of technology today, by the way of STS (science, technology and society), which is a program in scientific philosophy and sociology. We will introduce the theories of STS with the basic lecture of ideological history, and then make students to carry on the case studies, including issues of digital technology, globalization, climate change or risk of society and so on, with the viewpoints of “who, what, when, where and which”. Finally we will encourage them to propose their opinion and the imagination of the future world.
