此課程為量子力學之簡介。在課程中,我們試圖從原子物理、分子物理及固態物理等各領域來說明、瞭解量子力學的重要性。在所舉之例中,我們只強調量子的現象,對量子力學本身之數並未特別做仔細、深入的計算。由量子力學所得的結果都與古典理論所得的結果做比較,以培養學生對量子的直覺。本課程的目的不只是處理數學式子與相關現象,同時也希望引領學生能進一步的運用在其專業領域。

English Description
This course is an introduction to formal quantum mechanics. It is to provide illustrations of quantum mechanics by taking many examples from different fields such as atomic physics, molecular physics and solid state physics. In these examples we concentrate on the quantum mechanical aspect of phenomena, often neglecting specific details. Whenever possible, the quantum mechanical results are compared with the classical ones in order to help the students develop his intuition concerning quantum mechanical effects. The intent, however is to treat in the course not only the basic formalism and related phenomena, but to take the student a step further to a consideration of generic and important application.
