OFDM和MIMO技術為現今與下世代通訊系統之關鍵技術。許多無線通訊協定,例如802.11a/g 無線區域網路,皆採用此項技術。本門課提供學生在基頻MIMO/OFDM 系統設計之訓練。並需要跨領域之通訊理論和IC 設計之背景。此課程將以授課教授本身設計之IC當作例子。所有學生在期末時亦需要用Verilog硬體程式設計語言來實現一個通訊系統。

English Description
Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) and Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) are promising techniques for current and future communication systems. Several wireless standards, including the 802.11a/g wireless LAN, have adopted these technologies. This course aims to provide the students with training in baseband MIMO/OFDM transmission system design. It thus contains cross-disciplinary knowledge in diverse fields, e.g. communication theory and integrated circuit design. The course is complemented by successful system examples previously designed and implemented by the instructor. All students are required to implement a final project on baseband communication system using Verilog hardware description language.
