中文概述 Chinese Description | 本科目主要探討化學致癌物的性質,在生物體內的作用及危害。也由癌症病人的統計資料分析出可能的致癌物,再配合細胞與動物的實驗數據以及生物活化與新陳代謝等生物體內的反應械構,推斷致癌因子與械構。本科目也介紹工業界常用的化學品的致癌性與毒性,希冀學生於日常生活或於相關工業服務時,能有所因應,以維護自身及四周人員之健康。 | |||
英文概述 English Description | Cancers have a multiplicity of biological, physical, and chemical causes. This lecture reviews of the nature, mode of action, and hazards of the major groups of chemical carcinogens. Also presented is an introduction on cancer epidemiology, which is meant to be used as a guide to recognizing carcinogens. The more conventional topics of chemical carcinogenesis are represented, and they include carcinogenesis by halogenated solvents and pesticides; inhibition of carcinogenesis; asbestos concerns; carcinogenesis testing systems; and mineral fiber carcinogenesis. The reallzation that occupational environments and conditions can promote the incidence of numerous cancers has led to regulations and controls on exposure to various chemicals and substances. |
