| 英文概述 English Description | This course examines the social and political dynamics of contemporary culture by reading a variety of texts, including news articles, editorials, reports, and research papers. Students will be guided to observe, analyze and understand the complexity and ambiguity of how contemporary / popular cultural phenomena may move in lockstep with the cultural traditions or fall out of sync in the cultural continuity. The course introduces plenty of fascinating culture stories, event, issues and trends to be studied, aiming to develop students’ critical analysis ability and cultural literacy. | |||
