本科目屬通識教育之課程範圍,係以系統(System Theory)理論的觀點,針對「開放社會」中的教育問題加以探討。其分析的層面概分為兩大類群,一為鉅視觀點,即從各種社會制度與政策,諸如經濟、政治、階層、資訊、宗教等各方面,分析對於教育的影響與互動關係;另一為微視觀點,即從社會整體對教育各層面,諸如教育目標、學校型態、教師角色、學生學習、家長參與等各議題加以分析其影響性。本課程之預期目標為,透過本課程的安排,得以明析當代開放社會與教育之間,互為變遷動因與條件的實態,進而產生進一步探究的興趣。

English Description
This subject, one of the courses of General Education, aims to analyze the educational issues of an "Open Society" from System Theory perspective. The analysis can be carried out in two ways:first, from macro-viewpoint, it means to study the influences and interrelation that different social institution and policies such as economy, politics, stratification, information, religion, etc. have exerted on education. second, from micro-viewpoint, it analyzes the influences of the whole society on every aspects of education such as education objective, school style, role of teachers, learning of students, participation of parents, etc.Through the programme of this course, we hope to illustrate the fact that the contemporary open society and education are reciprocal factors and conditions of changes.
