Beginning with fundamental concepts in quantum mechanics, the course introduces energy band theory and carrier transport phenomena. Core topics include P–N junctions, Schottky contacts, and MOSFET devices, with particular emphasis on short-channel effects and the challenges associated with next-generation nanoscale devices.
