創新往往是集體大腦的產物、文化理念和知識隨著時間的推移透過社會互動進行重組和改進。個人創新能力得益於接觸不同的想法和社會關係,從而為創新創造「準備好的頭腦」。創新率受到社會性(個人如何連結)、傳播準確性(文化傳播的準確性)和文化差異(思想多樣性)的影響。這個集體大腦概念解釋了創新如何快速擴散並建立在先前知識的基礎上,從而導致歷史上創新率的提高。

English Description
Innovation is often the product of collective brains, where cultural ideas and knowledge are recombined and improved over time through social interactions. Individual innovativeness benefits from exposure to diverse ideas and social connections, which create a “prepared mind” for innovation. The rate of innovation is influenced by sociality (how individuals connect), transmission fidelity(accuracy of cultural transmission), and cultural variance (diversity of ideas). This collective brain concept explains how innovations can rapidly diffuse and build upon previous knowledge, leading to increasing innovation rates historically.
