Course Objective	This course introduces the fundamental principles and applications of analytical chemistry. Topics include analytical processes, sampling and sample preparation, errors and statistical treatment of data, hypothesis testing, gravimetric analysis, chemical equilibria, electrochemical principles, interactions between light and matter, molecular characterization, and interpretation of analytical results. Common analytical reagents, instrumentation, and laboratory operations are also discussed. Emphasis is placed on obtaining representative samples, developing reliable analytical methods, evaluating data quality, and applying analytical chemistry to practical problems in environmental, materials, biological, and food sciences.
