Course Objective	This Chinese language courde is designed as a three-year curriculum, structured into three progressive stages. In the first year, the focus is on foundational Chinese instruction, including pronunciation training, basic vocabulary, sentence patterns and grammar, as well as daily conversational skills. The second year builds upon the first by strengthening paragraph reading and writing skills, and expanding character recognition. In the third year, the emphasis shifts to enhancing students’ listening comprehension, oral communication, and contextual understanding, while integrating topics related to Chinese society and culture.

Note	1. Course Corresponding Indicators: 4. Quality Education The corresponding course content for Indicator 4, "Education for sustainable development and global citizenship," includes teaching topics from Weeks 2-17, which focus on the Chinese language and culture. 2. The course topics in Week 6, 12 and 17, titled "Practice and Activities" and "Chinese Calligraphy" are related to the "Exhortation" stage of the innovative character education 6E teaching method. Through diverse activities, the course aims to enhance character practice.
