Course Objective This course will introduce research methods and provide students with fundamental knowledge and competence in writing a thesis.

Course Schedule Part 2 How to Structure Literature Review? Instructed by Assoc. Prof. Hsin-Yi Wu WK 7 10/21 Demonstrates the depth of your knowledge about your research. WK 8 10/28 Identifies opposing view; link for future study. WK 9 11/ 4 Identifying what is good and latest reviewed papers; Indexing; Direct quotation, paraphrasing and referencing. WK 10 11/11 References; How to avoid plagiarism; Something about AI. WK 11 11/18 A few writing skill tips for humanities essays. WK 12 11/25 The latest trend in Moving-images studies.

Evaluation and grading policy Strong participation 30%; Complete a well-structured literature review 70%.
