Course Objective 本課程與產品設計有關。目標是訓練教導學生能夠： • 設定和掌控產品設計進度； • 系統化產品設計； • 創新設計提案； • 精緻模型製作技能。本課程包括一系列複雜性不斷增加的設計議題，最終制定產品製造和交付的運營計劃。練習包括產品設計和產品製造注意事項。廣泛使用電腦輔助設計軟件。設計教學資源將在工作坊中提供。 This course is concerned with product design. The objectives are to enable students to: • set and control the schedule of product design; • systemise product design; • sketch performance; • prototype skill. The course consists of a series of design projects of increasing complexity, culminating in developing an operations plan for product manufacture and delivery. Exercises include both product design and product manufacturing considerations. Extensive use is made of CAD software. Resources for the design exercises are presented in working studio sessions.

Course Schedule 產品設計是對產品設計過程的介紹，重點是為日常產品設計。這是一個以項目為中心的課程。學生以 1-3人進行產品設計專題工作，設計新產品並製作精緻模型。將向學生介紹創新產品設計與開發方法及針對各種設計主題進行產品設計，包括頭腦風暴、設計評估、設計素描、平面設計、手繪和電繪、草圖建模、概念發展、設計美學、精緻模型製作，以及書面、視覺和設計交流。產品設計課程圍繞三個主要內容方向： • 設計規劃； • 設計繪圖； • 精緻模型製作。 Product Design is an introduction to the product design process focusing on designing for daily products. It is a project-centric class. Students work with 1-3 students to design and prototype new products. Students will be introduced to various design topics, including brainstorming; estimation; sketching; graphic design; drawing and CAD rendering; sketch modelling; concept development; design aesthetics; prototyping; and written, visual, and oral communication. The Product Design course is organised around three main content areas:- • planning; • sketch; • prototype.

Evaluation and grading policy 課程參與：25%；課程報告：50%；課程發表：25%。
