Course Objective To build the quantitative logic thinking about the decision problems. The course is designed to introduce the fundamental techniques and methods of operations research. The related software will be utilized to aid in building and solving models. The topics to be covered: linear programming, what-if analysis, dual theory, transportation and assignment.

Course Schedule Week1. Introduction to Modeling in OR Week2~3. Formulations in Linear Programming Week4. Graphical Solution and Basic Solution (BV and NBV) Week5~7. Simplex Method Week8~10. Artificial Starting Solution Week11~12. Duality and Dual Model Week13~14. Shadow Price and Sensitivity Analysis Week15~17. Transportation Model and Assignment Model
