Course Objective Course Objectives: Understand the fundamental principles and applications of interactive design. Develop creative design skills to complete individual or group interactive design projects. Foster teamwork and communication skills. Explore the applications of various interactive design media and platforms. Teaching Methods: Lectures, group discussions, hands-on guidance, case studies, and project presentations.

Course Schedule Week 1: Course Introduction Overview of the course and expected outcomes. Introduction to the fundamentals of interactive design with case studies. Student introductions and group assignments. Week 2: Interactive Design Theories and Tools Overview User experience design and human-computer interaction theories. Introduction to commonly used tools (e.g., Figma, Unity, Processing). Week 3: Topic Selection and Requirement Analysis Guide students in selecting their interactive design topics. User research and goal setting. Week 4: Creative Brainstorming and Concept Development Brainstorming activities. Each group presents initial concept sketches. Week 5: Storytelling and User Journey Design Crafting user stories and journey mapping. Group feedback and discussions. Week 6: Technical Experimentation and Prototype Testing Guide students in creating low-fidelity prototypes using design tools. Test user interaction experiences and record feedback. Week 7: Design Refinement Provide guidance to further refine interactive designs. Discuss visual design and technical details. Week 8: Midterm Review Groups present their design progress. Feedback and improvement suggestions from the instructor and peers. Week 9: Motion and Responsive Design Teach principles of animation and interaction effects. Apply these concepts to student projects. Week 10: Multisensory Interaction Design Explore the application of sensory elements such as sound and touch. Group experiments and sharing. Week 11: Technical Integration Guide students in integrating various technologies into their projects. Solve technical challenges and difficulties. Week 12: Mid-Stage Testing and User Feedback Groups showcase their interim results. Conduct simulated user testing and collect improvement suggestions. Week 13: Iteration and Optimization Analyze testing results and iterate designs. Ensure the technical and design feasibility of the projects. Week 14: Final Touches Refine the interactive experience and visual details of projects. Discuss strategies for project presentations. Week 15: Final Project Production Groups focus on completing their final projects. Address technical issues and offer guidance. Week 16: Presentation Rehearsal Groups conduct mock presentations.
