Course Objective	中國的崛起正在改變全球的政治、經濟和文化，而台灣與港澳都是已然成型的大中華經濟圈成員，吾人必須要趁早了解中國市場崛起的原因，並開始作好準備。 本課程帶領學生深入瞭解中國崛起的背景、所代表的意義、以及如何去面對隨之而來的新挑戰。課程中並將描繪出世界的未來走向、美國霸權的逐日衰退、和各種產業即將面臨的威脅/挑戰/機遇。 中國已經成為世界最大的經濟體，未來台灣的企業、經濟前景、甚至個人生活都會感受到巨大的衝擊。中國的經濟成長何以會影響到所有的全球性產業和消費者，並分析許多工作即將面臨的威脅。 本課程由總體宏觀角度出發，逐步進入細部剖析，期末再以全球觀點回顧大中華經濟圈的發展，並對未來趨勢提出分析。 This is an introductory level course on the rise of China as a major power and the emergence of the Greater China Economic Circle. Through intensive reading and in-class discussion, the students are expected to gain an in-depth understanding of the developmental causes, path, and trajectory of the GCEC. Both positive and negative factors will be critically examined in the assigned readings. The role of Taiwan in the development of GCEC will also be reviewed.

Evaluation and grading policy	評分標準與課程要求: (1)「上課出席聽講及參與狀況」占學期總成績 40%。每學期無故缺席 3 次者以不及格論。缺席 2 次者扣減學期總成績 30%。課程進行中嚴禁玩手機與平板，手機 一律設為靜音或振動模式，經多次警告後仍不改進者，一律扣減學期總成績 30%。請假必須以電子郵件寄交課程助教，並於下一週提出請假證明。 (2)學期末繳交一篇個人報告，占學期總成績 60%。題目另行擇期公佈。本課程的報告絕對禁止「抄襲、剪貼」，所有期末報告必須附上「Turnitin 學術論文原創性比對系統」之對比報告，與其他論文或出版品的雷同比例不得高於 20%。否則一律以「不及格」論。 (3)所有選課與經過本人同意的旁聽同學必須以實名加入課程群組。
