Course Objective	此門課程主要在於瞭解社會學的意涵，並藉由跨領域的學習，讓不同主題能有對話的空間。課程涵蓋的範圍會兼顧理論與實用性，讓學生能思考當今的社會，理解到產生因素的多元性，並進而使個人眼界能更加開拓。期望學生於課程學習中能夠發展更多對於整個社會的不同思維，以強化本身學科之所需，不但具有理論性深入的洞察力，也能運用到社會實踐的層面。 The aim of this course is to understand the concepts of sociology, and provide space of dialog between different subjects. The range of this course includes both theories and applications so that students can investigate multiple causes of social phenomena to broaden their views. Students are expected to develop alternative thinking and strengthens the capabilities of their own subjects. In addition, they can not only think in theoretical ways but also apply developed abilities to social practices.

Evaluation and grading policy	課堂出席: 每週點名, 遲到及缺課者按情況扣分。遲到超過兩次者，開始扣分，每次0.5分。缺課一小時每次扣1分, 缺課8小時以不及格計算。心理不適假以缺課計算，病假請提供當日醫療證明，家長字條不能算病假。 課堂要求: 禁用手機或從事非課業相關事務, 違反者每次學期總分扣5分. 課堂學習包括抄筆記與分組討論。 成績計算: 期中考期末考各佔50%平均之後。再依照出席狀況以及課堂學習狀況加分或減分。 總成績請在期末考後主動來訊詢問，學校規定成績送出之後無法更改。 Rollcall each week. Each absence and late to class will result in deduction of final grade by 2 points and one point relatively. No cellphone and other tasks unrelated with the class are allowed. Violating this rule will result in 5 points deduction of final grade.
