Course Objective 本課程將介紹：(1)基礎量子力學，(2)古典固態理論，(3)晶格結構與x-ray繞射，(4)電子結構理論，(5)表面效應，(6)半導體特性專論。 The following topics will be presented in this course: (1) basic quantum theory, (2)classical solidstate theory, (3)Crystal structure and x-ray diffraction, (4)electronic structure, (5)surface effects, (6)properties of semiconductors. The course shall provide a better understanding of central concepts in solid state physics and their relation to the basic theories of quantum mechanics and electrodynamics. The students shall learn how these concepts can be applied to model physical effects quantitatively. Particular emphasis is given towards topics relevant to ongoing research in solid state physics .
