Course Objective	本課程將使用 Unity 建構專業的 VR／AR／XR 應用程式。Unity 是一套功能強大且跨平台的 3D 引擎，提供友善的開發環境。本課程將帶領學生從基礎開始，完整學習虛擬實境應用的開發流程，從 3D 模型、渲染管線，到互動設計與裝置部署，讓學生深入理解沉浸式系統的核心技術。 學生將學習 VR／AR／XR 中最重要的互動概念，包括物件選取、操作、移動、導覽、選單設計，以及文字輸入等功能。透過實作專題，學生將具備開發沉浸式應用的能力，例如 VR／AR／XR 遊戲、建築導覽、工程模擬、3D 資料視覺化，以及教育訓練應用等。 除了核心 VR 技術外，本課程也將介紹 VR／AR／XR 裝置作為 邊緣 AI（Edge AI）平台 的新趨勢。現代頭戴式裝置與智慧眼鏡已具備攝影機、麥克風與 AI 運算能力，可提供更智慧、更即時的互動體驗。 在 AI 與沉浸式系統的結合方面，本課程將以實務導向方式介紹以下主題： • 語音互動與基礎自然語言處理（NLP）：提升使用者互動的直覺性 • 物件辨識／影像理解：辨識真實世界中的物件或場景 • AI 輔助互動角色：應用於簡易訓練、導覽或教學場景 此外，本課程也特別強調 產業實務能力的培養。學生不僅將學習如何開發可實際運作的 VR／AR／XR 應用，也將學習： • 如何規劃與管理專題開發流程 • 如何清楚撰寫設計與實作文件 • 如何撰寫專業技術報告 • 如何進行專題成果展示與簡報 透過本課程，學生將同時具備 VR／AR／XR 技術基礎與 AI 應用初步概念，並培養未來進入產業界所需的實作、溝通與展示能力。 Build professional VR/AR/XR applications using Unity, a powerful cross-platform 3D engine that provides a user-friendly development environment. In this course, students will learn how to build VR applications from the ground up, so they fully understand the complete development pipeline—from 3D models and rendering to interaction design and deployment on immersive devices. Students will learn the most important VR interaction concepts in Unity, including selection, manipulation, travel, wayfinding, menus, and text input. Through hands-on projects, students will gain practical experience in designing and developing immersive applications such as VR/AR/XR games, architectural walkthroughs, engineering simulations, 3D data visualization systems, and training applications. In addition to core VR development, this course introduces the emerging role of VR/AR/XR devices as Edge AI platforms. Modern headsets and smart glasses are increasingly equipped with cameras, microphones, and AI capabilities that enable more intelligent and interactive user experiences. As an introduction to AI in immersive systems, students will explore selected practical topics such as: • Voice interaction and basic natural language processing (NLP) for more intuitive user communication • Object recognition / image understanding for identifying real-world objects or scenes • AI-assisted interactive characters for simple training or guided experiences This course also emphasizes real-world industry skills. Students will learn not only how to build working applications, but also how to: • plan and manage a development project, • document design and implementation clearly, • write professional technical reports, and • deliver effective project presentations and demonstrations. By the end of the course, students will have both technical foundations in VR/AR/XR development and practical experience in communicating and presenting their work in a professional setting.
