Course Objective 本課程旨在培養閱讀技巧與策略、建立分析與批判之閱讀能力，以及報告寫作之能力，並透過課堂主題簡報，培養學生理解以及表達不同主題之能力。 This course aims to help students develop a variety of reading skills and strategies, build students’ ability to read analytically and critically, develop students’ ability in writing a short report, and through in-class subject presentations, foster students’ ability to deliver and understand a variety of topics in English.

Evaluation and grading policy 1. 課堂參與: 30% (筆記、問答、小考、寫作) 2. 期中會考：20% (多益或英檢形式；04/15 週二實施；合併英文門檻鑑定考辦理) 3. 期中考：15% 4. 期末考： 15% 5. 三分鐘主題報告 Subject Report: 10% 6. Listening Test: 10% (3 tests, GEPT, TOEIC or TOEFL ITP) 7. 參加並完成培力英檢聽讀及說寫：額外加分 *培力英檢報名期間：2/17-3/7 *測驗日期：說寫4月26日(星期六，第10週) 聽讀5月24日(星期六，第14週)
