Course Objective	Our school's general physics courses are specially designed for students with engineering backgrounds. The main purpose is to encourage students to participate in the exploration of the mysteries and laws of the operation of nature, and to provide a solid foundation for subsequent professional courses. The content of this course includes mechanics, thermodynamics, acoustics, electromagnetism, optics and modern physics. The professor can design the course based on three hours per week and two semesters, and then consider the different needs of each department to strengthen or omit certain chapters.
Course Schedule	week 1-3 : chapter 11 Electric Forces and Electric Fields; week 4-5: chapter 12 Electric Potential and Capacitance; week 6-7: chapter 13 Current and Direct Current Circuits; week 8: chapter 14 Magnetic Forcesand Magnetic Fields; week 9: Midterm Exam.; week 10: chapter 14 Magnetic Forces and Magnetic Fields; week 11-12: chapter 15 Faraday’s Law and Induction; week 13-14: chapter 16 Alternating Current Circuits and Electromagnetic Waves; week 15:chapter 17 Reflection and Refraction of Light; week 16:chapter 18 Image Formation by Mirrors and Lenses; week 17:chapter 19 Wave Optics; week 18: Final Exam.
