Course Objective In recent decades, biomedical engineering and medical technology have driven major advances in clinical medicine and healthcare. This growth has spurred the development of related academic programs, now widely offered at universities and graduate institutions. However, most students come from engineering backgrounds, making it essential to bridge the gap between engineering and medical sciences. This course provides engineering and materials science students with foundational knowledge of human anatomy, tissue structure, and physiological systems. While it does not cover all aspects of biomedical engineering, it focuses on key areas such as biotechnology, tissue engineering, and medical applications. Acting as a bridge between medicine and engineering, the course promotes interdisciplinary communication and collaboration. Students will gain biological and medical insights relevant to engineering, helping them transition into biomedical fields or better understand clinical technologies. By integrating expertise from both engineering and medical faculty, the course supports innovation and cross-disciplinary development.
