Course Objective 本課程旨在介紹複合材料（Composite Materials）之核心原理與前瞻應用，並特別強調功能型複合材料在光電與半導體元件中的角色。課程內容將以元件架構為出發點，系統性探討材料選擇、界面設計與製程條件如何共同決定複合材料之最終功能與元件效效能。課程前半段將建立複合材料之共同語言，涵蓋複合材料之分類（PMC、MMC、CMC）、材料鍵結特性、基材之物理限制與設計優勢、界面與界面層工程，以及製程對微結構與性質的影響。其中將特別著重於高分子基材在低溫製程、可撓性、介電特性與異質整合上的關鍵角色，並引導學生理解鈣鈦礦等陶瓷型半導體材料之鍵結本質與光電特性。課程後半段將全面轉向結構設計與多元材料平台，透過元件應用導向的方式，系統性探討有機-無機混成複合材料如何在不同前瞻元件中實現多功能整合，探討範疇橫跨：功能性纖維系統、前瞻光伏元件（鈣鈦礦太陽能電池）、顯示器技術、可撓性與防水型白光發光元件（WLEDs），以及智慧主動式感測器與新興光電元件。為了培養學生與現代製程產業與前沿研究接軌的能力，本課程亦包含教導學生如何透過英文簡報與個人問答討論，訓練以材料設計、界面機制與製程性質鏈結為基礎，分析產業及前沿研究成果的能力。 This course introduces the fundamental principles and applications of composite materials, with a particular focus on their roles in optoelectronic and semiconductor devices. Adopting a device architecture-driven approach, the curriculum systematically explores how material selection, interface design, and processing parameters collectively dictate the final functionality and efficiency of a composite system. The first half establishes a common framework for composites, covering matrix classifications (PMC, MMC, and CMC), chemical bonding characteristics, physical limitations, interface/interphase engineering, and processing-structure-property relationships. Special attention is given to polymer matrix systems in low-temperature processing, flexibility, and heterogeneous integration, alongside the optoelectronic properties of ceramic-type semiconductors like perovskites. The second half shifts toward multi-material platforms and application-themed modules, exploring how organic-inorganic hybrid composites realize multi-functional integration across advanced devices. The scope covers: functional fiber-based systems, advanced photovoltaics (perovskite solar cells), display technologies, flexible/waterproof white light-emitting devices (WLEDs), and smart active sensors/emerging photonic components. To bridge academic theory with contemporary manufacturing industries, students will be trained through English presentations and individual Q&A discussions to critically analyze industrial technologies and cutting-edge research based on material selection logic, interface mechanisms, and manufacturing constraints.
