Course Objective 本課程旨在介紹高等複合材料（Advanced Composite Materials）之核心原理與前瞻應用，並特別強調功能型複合材料在光電與半導體元件中的角色。課程內容將以元件架構（device architecture）為出發點，系統性探討材料選擇、界面設計與製程條件如何共同決定複合材料之最終功能與元件效能。課程前半段將建立複合材料之共同語言，涵蓋複合材料之分類（PMC、MMC、CMC）、材料鍵結特性、基材之物理限制與設計優勢、界面與界面層工程，以及製程對微結構與性質的影響。特別著重於高分子基材在低溫製程、可撓性、介電特性與異質整合上的關鍵角色，並介紹鈣鈦礦等陶瓷型半導體材料之鍵結本質、光電特性與穩定性議題。課程後半段將以高分子–鈣鈦礦混成複合材料為核心，透過文獻導向的方式，探討複合材料如何在不同元件應用中實現多功能整合，包括功能性纖維、發光二極體、雷射、光電與類神經元元件，以及光感測器等。學生將透過英文簡報與討論，訓練以材料設計、界面機制與製程為基礎，分析前沿研究成果的能力。 This course introduces the fundamental principles and advanced applications of composite materials, with a particular focus on functional composites for optoelectronic and semiconductor devices. This course adopts a device architecture–driven approach, highlighting how material selection, interface engineering, and processing constraints collectively determine device performance. The first part of the course establishes a common framework for composite materials, including the classification of polymer-, metal-, and ceramic-matrix composites (PMC, MMC, and CMC), bonding characteristics, matrix materials and their design constraints, interface and interphase engineering, and the role of processing in controlling morphology and properties. Special attention is given to polymer matrix systems, which play a critical role in low-temperature processing, mechanical compliance, dielectric performance, and heterogeneous integration, as well as to ceramic-type semiconductors such as perovskite materials, focusing on their bonding nature, optoelectronic properties, and stability issues. In the second part of the course, polymer–perovskite hybrid composites are explored through paper-based learning and student presentations. Various application themes are discussed, including functional fibers, light-emitting diodes, lasers, optoelectronic and neuromorphic devices, and photodetectors. Students are trained to analyze state-of-the-art literature from the perspectives of material design logic, interface mechanisms, and processing–structure–property relationships.
