Course Objective	This course is specifically designed for overseas Chinese and Hong Kong-Macau students. Through the study of literary works, discussions on contemporary textual issues, and creative literary writing, it aims to develop students' Chinese comprehension, communication, and appreciation skills while deepening their understanding of culture, the world, and their own lives. Additionally, the course incorporates practical applications to enhance students' proficiency in using Chinese in professional settings.

Note	1. Confucianism in Week 2, Daoism in Week 3, Mohism in Week 6, and Legalism in Week 7 correspond respectively to SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions). 2. From Weeks 2 to 7, students are required to read course texts and reflect on their own lives in connection. Through this process, they are encouraged to engage in self-examination and personal growth. This component of the course corresponds to the third dimension of Innovative Character Education, “Exhortation.”
