Course Objective	This Chinese language courde is designed as a three-year curriculum, structured into three progressive stages. In the first year, the focus is on foundational Chinese instruction, including pronunciation training, basic vocabulary, sentence patterns and grammar, as well as daily conversational skills. The second year builds upon the first by strengthening paragraph reading and writing skills, and expanding character recognition. In the third year, the emphasis shifts to enhancing students’ listening comprehension, oral communication, and contextual understanding, while integrating topics related to Chinese society and culture.

Flexible Learning (Week 17-18)	Category ● 參與課程相關作業、作品、實驗、田野調查(Participation in course-related assignments, works, experiments, or field research) Content The course includes a Chinese proficiency practice test assignment, which should be completed during Weeks 17 and 18. Hours 4 Learning Outcomes During the flexible learning period in Weeks 17 and 18, please use the Chinese proficiency practice test provided by the instructor to conduct a self-assessment and upload your results through the Google link provided by the instructor. You will receive 10 points upon completion of the assignment. Assessment Percentage Please complete the Chinese proficiency practice test assignment before class in Week 18. This assignment accounts for 10% of your final grade.

Note	The course focuses on Chinese language and culture throughout the semester, aligning with SDG 4: Quality Education. In Weeks 2–15 of the course, students will transform their own learning reflections into teaching content for others. This design corresponds to the third component of Innovative Character Education, “Exhortation.”
