Note
1. In Weeks 2 and 3, the course covers Confucian thought; in Week 4, Legalist thought; in Weeks 6, 8, Daoist thought; and in Week 14, Mohist thought. Through introducing the key philosophical concerns and approaches to problem-solving, the course aligns SDG 4; SDG 16; SDG 3 and SDG 5; as well as SDG 1 and SDG 10.

2. The course develops students’ philosophical thinking through textual analysis and issue-based discussions, with classroom performance used as a measure of learning outcomes. This approach corresponds to the second component of Innovative Character Education, “Explanation.”
